no matter where in the series I am, these three together do all kinds of wild things to my brain, it’s a dynamic I love love love, and I think all takes on it are wonderful. i wanna read literally everything.

I am also! perfectly happy to receive two out of three in any configuration as well. I'm always here for Gen and Irene being clever and snarky and in love, behind the scenes explorations of their relationship that we never see in public, or scenes of them being terrifying and powerful in a way that frightens and intrigues the other. Costis dragged along in Eugenides’ wake in some scheme over his head. Costis and Irene is a fascinating and (imo) underexplored relationship that i would be fascinated to see more of. court intrigue, secret relationships, someone trying to manipulate Costis to get at the king & queen, but he's too stubborn to be manipulated even when he doesn't realize that's what's happening, idk.

I’m a shippy kind of guy and i ship them all unrepentantly, but if they’re there and they’re vibing that’s grand.

(also, I love Aristogiton and kind of wanted to request him too and see him and Costis or whatever it’s like for Gen and Aris to be in Attolia without Costis, but that’s extra super optional)

I haven’t read the most recent couple of books, but I’m perfectly happy to receive anything set in any time period so long as new developments and spoilers are explained in-fic lol

I love the Peter & Nightingale relationship, how they complement and support each other and advance the other to far greater effect, how Nightingale is a not-so-secret badass who constantly over extended himself and Peter is always right on his heels exploring new methods and fucking around to find out and innovating the craft. I love Peter’s undiagnosed adhd and how it makes him tick in all kinds of wacky and wild ways.

I love Beverley. just like everything about her. her and Peter’s relationship give me life, her no-nonsense attitude about magic and being a fucking goddess, and i love the idea of her and Nightingale getting together to bitch about work, magic, and peter whom they both love dearly in their own ways.

yes, i ship them all together too in a triad, but i am equally happy with platonic but weird about each other dynamics.


request 3: Subnautica (Video Game)
characters: Ryley Robinson, Bart Torgal (must use all)

I’m obsessed with the method of recovering data packets, and the story of the Torgals that unfolds in Subnautica, following them down and down into the depths all the while knowing that Bart died up top and alone, but the reveal in Below Zero that Maeda survived made me feral for stories where Bart also survived and somehow encountered Ryley during his time on the planet. the world is beautiful and toxic and absolutely not malevolent except for all the ways that humans do not fit in there and i love it

or the idea of Ryley (like myself) falling in love with a man 10 years gone, with only the echoes of his voice to guide him??? chewing the wallpaper. I have a vision in my head of Ryley not fully realising that Bart has aged across those 10 years since his voice is young in all the recordings, and going from feeling like the older to actually being the younger lives in my head rent free.

but more than that, the idea that Ryley can rescue Bart after all this time and first take him down to see what it was all about and then take him somewhere *else* and either back to society or somewhere to build a life beyond the planet on their own i’m rolling around in my feelings about it. the *touched-starvedness* of it all
